Karen Briggs Seeking to Collaborate with Orchestra's
Karen's next project, entitled, "A Theme of Gratitude" promises to be a defining release of world genre influences that continue to set Karen apart.
The self-produced project is the second of it's kind after "Soulchestral Groove", which was released by Karen on August 12 of 2008
It consists of ten original compositions that includes two arrangements on Brahms Symphony No. 3 and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring.
Karen defines the music as "world music" and as a result of "pure inspiration."
The title song is now available as a video on youtube and Karen is hopeful that fans, agents, promoters and orchestras will be impressed.
In preparation for live performances, Karen is seeking to collaborate with Orchestras worldwide to present her music in live concert. More to come!
Karen Briggs Travels To Erbil, Iraq for A World Music Performance with Naseer Shamma, Oud Extraordinaire!
Karen was invited to perform for a very special concert held at the historic Citadel, a castle but 8000 BC in Erbil Iraq! The concert featured Naseer Shamma, a famous Oud player from Iraq, who assembled and an international assembly of nine incredible musicians called "The Peacebuilders". The instrumentalists came from France, Pakistan, Spain, Syria, Iran, Turkey and Karen from the U.S.A.
Hundreds of fans came out for the free music presentation which was also streamed live on Facebook. Within one day, the broadcast received over 0ne hundred seventy thousand views!
"It was an honor and a joy to perform with so many incredible musicians,"
Karen was the only woman in the ensemble. With great enthusiasm she says, "I think Naseer's music is incredibly beautiful!". Her next appearance with Naseer is being scheduled for London, England sometime in 2020.
