Touring With The Legendary Diana Ross & New Music!
Karen Briggs has been touring with Diana Ross as of mid June of 2025. She is the sole violinist of Ms. Ross' fabulous band. Travels began in Europe and concluded in
Abu Dhabi for Karen in January 2026.
The Motown legend, invited Karen to a feature recording on a single entitled "He Lives in You" back in 1999 with the great Arif Mardin as producer. SInce that time, Karen has received favor from Ms. Ross with intermittent invitations. Noteworthy venue performances include the
Oprah Winfrey Show, the Hollywood Bowl, New York City's Radio City Music Hall and the Lincoln Center.
Karen has toured the US, Europe and the Middle East as part of an exemplary assembly of incredible musicians and staff. While playing string parts in between, performed 2-3 featured solos each night over Motown hits, often times also with symphonic orchestras!
Like a 'Supreme' on violin, Karen's engagement in the dance steps while performing especially dressed in an elegant black or white gown and headwrap has added a unique flare to Ms Ross' dynamic presentation.
We're happy to announce the release of new music! The project entitled "Sonic Woodwork" features original compositions and arrangements which also features live strings all performed by Karen. The artwork, completed by Karen, features an abstract violin and floral design originating from an original painting by Karen.
The music will take you on a groovin' journey of influences from several genres, some of which will make you dance. Her warm low voice is present on the "Intro" and "What I Like"
This is Karen's fourth release and her second independent release since "Soulchestral Groove"
The project contains 11 soul driven pieces with influences from several music genres with some spoken word by Karen.
