BIO

Currently regarded by many as one of the most legendary violinists of our time, Karen Briggs has developed an impressive career as an early elite in the evolution of the contemporary violin. Some would describe her concerts as "an experience!"

Having been heard mostly in jazz music environments,  Karen's most significant recognition comes from her feature in the record-breaking, PBS broadcast of "Yanni: Live At The Acropolis", of which her fiery solos within the ranks of the Royal Philharmonic were adored by millions worldwide! 

 

Karen has performed and/or recorded with:

Stanley Clarke, Diana Ross, Ledisi, Kirk Franklin,

Annie Lennox, RZA & the Wu-Tang Clan (Reunited),

Her signature approach to the violin demonstrates a skillful and unique swagger that has been featured in concerts taking place at historic venues in over fifty countries!

 

With the embodiment of her increasing vocabulary of musical influences, Karen's current independent, self- produced release entitled "Sonic Woodwork" pursues with original compositions and a fresh sound. - JB
