Currently regarded by many as one of the most legendary violinists of our time, Karen Briggs has developed an impressive career as an early elite in the evolution of the contemporary violin. Some would describe her concerts as "an experience!"
Having been seen mostly in jazz music environments, Karen's initial and significant recognition comes from her feature in the record-breaking, PBS broadcast of "Yanni: Live At The Acropolis", of which her fiery solos within the rank of the Royal Philharmonic were adored by millions of viewers worldwide!

Her signature approach to the violin demonstrates a skillful and unique swagger that has been featured in concerts taking place at historic venues in fifty countries!
Karen is also founder/coordinator of the 12 - piece Contempo Orchestra whose successful 2024 debut took place near Atlanta, GA at the Stockbridge Amphitheater. (See Concert Review)
Her next independent release, entitled
"Sonic Woodwork for Contempo Orchestra" will be available in August of 2024 and will feature 13 original compositions all produced and exclusively performed by Karen. - JB
